The Blackborough Meat Company is a small family owned, and run business straight from our  50 acre farm high in the Blackdown Hills, which is  an area of outstanding natural beauty, with views of Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Quantocks.

We currently own 8 registered pedigree breeding Oxford Sandy and Black sows which are rare breed pigs (there are only 150 registered breeding sows in the country), and have a total of 78 pigs and piglets.  During the summer most of our piglets and pigs enjoy foraging around one of our 2 acre woods - when they don't sneek under the fencing!!

Along side the pigs, we also have 45 sheep, 20 lambs, 20 quail, 33 free range chicken and one cat named spotty!


So how good does it taste? 
What started as a very small venture has grown and grown with past customers coming back for more time and time again and spreading the word to friends and strangers!, this can only speak for itself.  

Both our pork and lamb is left to mature at its own pace, therefore the meat and animals are not pushed and the flavour speaks for itself,  being both succulent and tasty. If you are no good at getting crackling on your pork joint, you have to try our pork you cannot fail even without salt!
